Ray Warner, a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and a diary, 1853-1860, kept by Miss Wright (first name unknown), a teacher in New York and in Erie and Girard, Pennsylvania, in which she discusses at length her financial problems and relationships with friends and family.
